Comments on Clock Models in Hybrid Automata and Hybrid Control Systems

چکیده
Hybrid systems have received a lot of attention in the past decade and a number of different models have been proposed in order to establish mathematical framework that is able to handle both continuous and discrete aspects. This contribution is focused on two models: hybrid automata and hybrid control systems with continuousdiscrete interface and the importance of clock models is emphasized. Simple and relevant examples, some taken from the literature, accompany the presentation.

Generating Discrete Trace Transition System of a Polyhe-dral Invariant Hybrid Automaton
Supervisory control and fault diagnosis of hybrid systems need to have complete information about the discrete states transitions of the underling system. From this point of view, the hybrid system should be abstracted to a Discrete Trace Transition System (DTTS) and represented by a discrete mode transition graph. In this paper an effective method is proposed for generating discrete mode trans...
متن کاملModeling and Verification of Sampled-Data Hybrid Systems
We introduce sampled data hybrid automata (SDHA) as a formal model of hybrid systems that result from clock-driven computer control of continuous dynamic sytems. In contrast to standard hybrid automata, the discrete state transitions in the SDHA can occur only at valid sampling times when the guard conditions are evaluated. Sequences of valid sampling times are defined by a clock structure that...
متن کاملRobust Power Control of Microgrid based on Hybrid Renewable Power Generation Systems
This paper presents modeling and control of a hybrid distributed energy sources including photovoltaic (PV), fuel cell (FC) and battery energy storage (BES) in a microgrid which provides both real and reactive power to support an unbalanced utility grid. The overall configuration of the microgrid including dynamic models for the PV, FC, BES and its power electronic interfacing are briefly descr...
متن کاملAlgorithmic Analysis of Nonlinear Hybrid Systems
Hybrid systems are digital real-time systems that are embedded in analog environments. Model-checking tools are available for the automatic analysis of linear hybrid automata, whose environment variables are subject to piecewise-constant polyhedral di erential inclusions. In most embedded systems, however, the environment variables have di erential inclusions that vary with the values of the va...
متن کاملEECS 291 E / ME 290 Q Lecture Notes 3 Spring 2009 Autonomous Hybrid Automata Claire
We develop definitions to formalize the notion of hybrid systems as dynamical systems that describe the evolution in time of the values of a set of discrete and continuous variables. In this chapter, we restrict our attention to autonomous hybrid automata, that is time invariant hybrid systems without inputs. In subsequent chapters we will extend this class of hybrid models and introduce input ...
